  • Opening Presentation by Norm and Ward

    Ward and Norm will join together to lead the community in a collective telling of the history of PLoP.  Norm will play the role of facilitator. He will interview Ward on his piece of the story, and as the story unfolds, the two of them will invite others with an important piece of history to add what they know.

Stories and Stars
We will join Dave Leake of Staerkel Planetarium and C-U Astronomical Society and Kim Petzing of Allerton to hear the basics of astronomy along with myths and legends of the late summer constellations. Once it gets dark, we'll head outdoors to look for the constellations. A telescope will be provided, but you may wish to bring a pair of binoculars to aid in viewing.
