Accommodation

EuroPLoP™ will be held at Kloster Irsee, a former Benedictine monastery, in the heart of Bavaria, Germany. Its history can be traced back to the 12th century, and the buildings we see today were erected in the beginning of the 18th century.

Rooms

Accommodation is available on site. There are single and double rooms, all with shower, bath, phone, and mini-bar. Note that phone and mini-bar are not included in the conference fee. Some of you will be assigned to double rooms (like at PLoP™), but changes are certainly possible. All rooms are non-smoking.

Food

The conference includes all meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner, as well as coffee breaks. Also included is the conference banquet, a three-course sit-down meal which is a highlight of the conference. Vegetarian meals are available upon request.

Sports

The monastery offers a sauna and table tennis that are free of charge. There are lots of jogging, hiking and mountain biking trails around the monastery. There is also a small lake nearby (10 min by foot). Bring your sports suits and equipment with you, if you like. You will have enough time for sports activities during the conference.

Tours

There will be tours of the monastery and the attached brewery. The monastery tour will be held in English, the brewery tour will be held in German - usually with one of the attendees translating.

Bar

The Ritterstube Bar will be open every evening - a great place to meet people and relax. In the Ritterstube, Irsee's own beer is served.
