PLoP 2006
Shepherded Papers
Notes on Paper 30:
I ended up being the shepherd for paper #030, "Towards
a Pattern
Language for Interactive Information Graphics". I only got into the
action about two weeks ago, so there was only one major iteration and a
couple of smaller ones.
The paper can stand a lot of improvement, but this is a very
interesting project by people who are experts in the subject matter and
newbies at patterns, so they will get a lot out of PLoP. Moreover, they
are working on a big pattern language. They have nearly 100 patterns
on their list, though they have only written up a few of them. So,
they will need encouragement and support. They are more from the CHI
community than the OOPSLA community.
I recommend we accept it.
The authors have uploaded the most recent version to the web site.

Accept. Part of bigger work. Seems of good quality and
complete. Authors clearly know their domain.
