PLoP 2006 Shepherded Papers

Notes on Paper 4

this is the shepherding feedback for the Busy Person Patterns (J.
Kile, D. Little, S. Shah):

We had a slow start because the shepherding process was not well
understood by the authors (my mistake thinking they were into this
because they had gone through Joe Bergins training and been shepherded
before by Linda). But when we finally got it moving I am very happy
with the progress and the authors level of improving the paper.
There is more work to be done but I am very confident that it will
be in a final good shape shortly.

The quality and wholeness of the pattern(s) or pattern language:
very good, several patterns and clear relations

Degree of improvement during the shepherding process, and openness
of the authors to revisions: eventually very good

Relevance of the pattern or pattern language: are we not all busy?
I am learning from these myself
right now returning yesterday from 3 weeks of vacation (which is
why this is a bit late...).

I presume you have the latest version of the paper?

Cheers,
Lise
