Notes on Paper 40: ACCEPTED

I'd like to send you my recommendation for the paper "Drag and Dock
Design Pattern" by Paulo Santos and Ademar Aguiar. The most current
version of the paper itself is included as attachment.

The main author has described a valid pattern that exists in the real
world. He both gives a good introduction and presents a strong solution
for the pattern.

On the downside, the paper does not feel very pattern-like yet. In
particular, the author and I had a long discussion about the scope of
the actual pattern. There are different abstraction levels, an HCI
level and a design level. The author concentrated mostly on the design
level whereas I believe that the actual pattern is more on the HCI
side.

Still, the paper already contains valuable content. I think that both
the paper and the author could greatly benefit from a writers' workshop
by receiving more input from the community. I would thus like to
recommend the acceptance of the paper.

Best regards,

Tim

Accept. Paper is in a good state
