- Cancellation and refund policy
PLoP online registration is now open and will be available till October 1st, 2023.
Please book your travel to Champaign-Urbana as soon as possible. The University of Illinois is hosting both Homecoming and a Big Ten football game; these will attract many flyers and consume nearly all hotel accommodations. For travel recommendations Click Here.
We strongly encourage early registration for better room arrangements and conference service. Contact the chairs with any questions.

Code of Health Conduct
One hallmark of a resilient and sturdy community working closely together is shared concern for the health and well-being of its members. The PLoP conference at Allerton Park requires conference participants to interact in limited space for several days. As a community we feel a responsibility to safeguard the health of our members during PLoP, and therefore the organizers of PLoP 2023 require each conference participant to affirm that they will monitor their own health carefully, and if symptoms consistent with Covid are observed, they will either self-isolate or wear a mask for the remainder of the conference.
Covid test kits and masks will be provided at the conference. Workshop leaders are permitted to establish health policies for their own workshops.
Conference fees
The conference fee covers almost every expense, except room's mini-bar, phone calls and travel, and includes:
-
Conference costs (Social events, most things at conference
such as refreshments,
there will occasionally be cash bar cost for attendees.) -
On-site accommodation for the conference duration (4 nights,
from Sunday, October 22nd
through Wednesday, October 25th -- leaving on Thursday morning October 26th) - All meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), snacks and beverages
- Transportation to/from Willard Airport (CMI) in Savoy, IL
We'll also accept registrations without room at the Allerton House. Attendees registering this way will have to find their own accommodation and transportation. In this case the fee for full-time students includes everything from above except accomodation.
Guests who want to stay before or after the conference will be charged individually for lodging and any meals you choose to take. If you plan to stay before or after the conference please contact the chairs.
Payment methods
We accept PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover cards.
Participants
After registering for the conference, you will receive a confirmation email . If you don't receive the confirmation email, please contact the chairs.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations may be made up until October 1st, 2023. There is a $100 cancellation fee. Refunds will be made within four weeks of the end of the conference. There is no refund for cancellations after the 1st of October 2023.
At any time you may transfer your registration to another person. To do this, email a confirmation note authorizing the person to attend in your place. Both parties will be contacted via email or phone to verify transfer of registration.
"No-shows" are not refundable and are liable for the full registration fee. If you can't attend, and it is past the refund date, then consider transferring your registration to another person.
Please feel free to send any additional questions or comments to the chairs.
