PLoP2002 Call for Volunteers

Update: The student volunteer positions are full. Thanks for your help.

PLoP is only able to run as smoothly as it does with the help of lots of people. We would be appreciated if you can help us in some tasks listed below. Some tasks can be performed remotely while some requires local presence. Please contact Weerasak Witthawaskul if you would like to volunteer.

P.S. If you are a student, one of the benefits as a student volunteer is that you are waived for conference fee which includes facility use, lunch, coffee break. If you are a non-local student, you will pay for accommodation and other expenses. Past off-campus volunteers either stayed at the hotel or with their local friends.

Task Task description Volunteer(s)
Paper Submission Manage submissions (papers in electronic format + author information) F. Balaguer
CD-ROM editors Sort the submissions by group. Assemble a master copy. Burn the master copy on CDs--we'll provide the equipment. Bosko Zivaljevic

On-site Registration Print the badges before the conference. Slide credit cards through a card reader; print receipts. This takes about 3 to 4 hours on the first evening and a couple of hours on the following morning, but the four persons assigned to this task may work by turns. Update: We may use Quickbooks instead so the credit card machine may not be used.
