Cloud Architecture Patterns Exploration Workshop PLoPouirri

Organizers: Kyle Brown, Bobby Woolf, and Joseph Yoder
(This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)

Abstract:  Kyle, Bobby, and Joe have been working (with a number of co-authors) for several years on a project to document the patterns of Cloud Architecture (including Cloud Platforms, DevOps, Refactoring for Microservices and Cloud Native Development). This work is now to the stage where we welcome feedback from the patterns, DevOps, cloud, and microservices community as we seek to improve both the patterns on the website (http://cloudadoptionpatterns.com) and in an upcoming O'Reilly book.

We will have interactive exercises to explore the patterns in two ways. First, we will break into groups to examine which patterns are most commonly used by participants including pointing out any missing patterns. Secondly, we will examine common scenarios of use of the patterns when an organization is doing cloud adoption. If we have time and interest, we may also look for feedback on specific patterns, including workshopping patterns that have changed since being workshopped at PLoP conferences.
